fletching

Here is my simple fletching script first.  It's all you need to gain ranks and experience.  The information after this is for making complete arrows if you wish after you have mastered fletching.

Go to the fletching shop (which is 2 steps north of the boutique) and buy 10 limbs of wood.  They're about 11 silvers each.  Put them in a container and set it as your default container.  Go to Tykel's Arms and buy a dagger and a handaxe and put them in the same container.  Sit somewhere quiet and first run the CUT script to make your limbs of wood into shafts for your arrows.  Once you have cut all of the wood into pieces run the simplefletch script.  Start both scripts with your hands empty.  That's all you need.  If you have PSINET it will count your ranks for you.  Type COUNT for more information.   The only variable for simplefletch is your container so if your container is a backpack you would type  -  .simplefletch backpack  to get it started.  GOOD LUCK!

The following information is to make complete arrows and requires a lot more materials.

FLETCH
There are many variables for this script.  You must have your supplies together first.  Here is a list...

- a handaxe (armory)
- a dagger (armory)
- fletchings (fletching shop)
- glue (fletching shop)
- limb of wood (fletching shop)
- a long bow (fletching shop)
- a container to put your supplies in, preferably a heavy backpack, set this container as your default container.

I usually buy 10 each of the fletchings, glue, and wood to start with so I can make a lot of arrows before heading back to the fletching shop.

You also need an empty container to put your finished arrows into like a cloak or something else that holds a large or very large amount. 

CUT
The first step is to cut the limbs into usable shafts and put them back into your backpack.  That is what the CUT script does.

Once all of your limbs are cut into shafts empty your hands and run the fletching script.  This script will run until you run out of some materials or run out of space in your storing container (cloak).  The script also paints or bands your arrows but this isn't necessary while you're learning how to fletch.  The following is an example of how to start the script if your supplies are in a backpack and your empty container is your cloak.
